Mission Statement

The Habitat Institute’s mission is to create knowledge to enhance, maintain and value earth’s natural habitats and their biodiversity through time.

Vision Statement

Our Natural systems including air, climate, functions, habitats, landscapes and species; they are alive, complex, interrelated, and ever-changing, and sometimes even spiritual. We need them, though it is humbling to admit that they do not need us. Because of this relationship and our ability to alter and degrade them, we need to take proactive steps to insure that these Natural systems are maintained, will thrive and be available, viable and functioning for us and future generations. Therefore, our vision is to treat our natural resources as an asset that we will pass foreword to future generations with an increase in their value.
